   Best Song On First Listen: Act My Age

   Travie Says: LANY’s 6th studio album, Soft, hits hard with lyrics about love and life. The most sincere song here is “Act My Age,” where lead singer Paul Klein wrestles with comparing himself to other people around him who have settled down and started their families.

   Rating (Out of 5 Stars): 4.2

   Best Song On First Listen: Killing Cupid

   Travie Says: Between RAYE and Absolutely is their sister, Amma. Middle Child Amma stuns on her debut album, with the cheeky “Killing Cupid” being an immediate highlight.

   Best Song On First Listen: This Is How We Walk On The Moon

   Travie Says: Definitely one of the most eye-catching album covers I’ve ever seen belongs to Body Building by London’s Tom Rasmussen. If you’re in the mood for some vibey electronica, this could be your taste!

   Best Song On First Listen: She Loves Me

   Travie Says: What a fun and creative album! The entirety of ELHAE’s Lotus Ave takes place as a conversation on the train with a friendly stranger, ad ELHAE laments what went wrong in his previous relationship. My favorite song here was “She Loves Me.”

   Album: Brother, Sister

   Year Released: 2006

   Rating (Out of 5 Stars): 4

   Best Song On First Listen: C-Minor

   Travie Says: Philly rock band mewithoutYou was the Midnight Marauders Friday pick of the week. I had not listened to them before, even though I know that they are legends in their own right. Late-album gem “C-Minor” was my favorite track here.

   Album: sweet talk

   Rating (Out of 5 Stars): 4.4

   Best Song On First Listen: sweet talk

   Travie Says: It’s safe to say nomi. keeps it short and sweet on her debut EP, sweet talk, as it clocks in at just over 11 minutes with 4 songs. She makes the most of her time, though - especially on the weird and infectious title track.

   Album: The Great Divide

   Best Song On First Listen: Deny Deny Deny

   Travie Says: Vermont’s golden boy Noah Kahan has returned with his 4th studio album, The Great Divide. Noah offers more of his folksy sound, as he discussing family, friendship, and home. “Deny Deny Deny” was the standout song for me on first listen.
